In 1993, Ethelbert opened the doors of Chic Photography Studio to provide quality and artistic photography service to the people of the Virgin Islands. Chic Photography provides wedding, family, and graduation senior portraits, as well as fashion and glamour, commercial and convention photography services to both the local residents and major hotel guests in the Virgin Islands. Ethelbert's creative style in photography has given Chic Photography Studio countless recognition as one of the best studios in the U.S Virgin Islands.

Biography
Ethelbert Bedminster was born on the island of Dominica in the Caribbean but was later transplanted to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. It was there that he was first introduced to photography by his older brother.
This introduction came early on in his high school years and led to his role as the high school yearbook photographer at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School. The experience and exposure obtained in high school persuaded him to learn more about the profession. He worked as an intern for the Virgin Islands Daily News and as a custom lab manager doing special processes such as printing and film processing.
Upon graduation from high school, Ethelbert attended the Art Institute of Houston where he earned a degree in photography. During his time at the Art Institute, he worked as an intern and assistant to some of Houston's best and most creative photographers, further enhancing his skills and techniques. His passion and creativity enabled him to make a mark at the Art Institute's Student Award Show where he won the best of show award. Three of his photographs were placed in the school portfolio while two are displayed currently in the school's lavish gallery
Upon graduation from the Art Institute of Houston, Ethelbert worked as senior photographer at a local photographic lab where he refined his skills doing highly recognized commercial shoots, portraits and weddings. With this local experience in the field of photography, soon came the birth of Chic Photography Studio.
